This is an earring rack I made for my partner in the Douglas Adams swap. She had this post in her wists so I copied the idea!

Her favourite character was Marvin (especially the movie one because he was so cute!) and her favourite quote was "Here I am, brain the size of a planet, and they ask me to take you down to the bridge. Call that job satisfaction? 'Cos I don't!"
She also really liked rainbow colors accents on black. I think I pretty much summed it up in this!   Cheesy

Close up of Marvin:

Notice the little green eyes! I painted him by cutting up a picture I found on the net in the "stencil" manner. I have to say, plain paper isn't the way to go with stencilling!  Cheesy The paint kinda glued it to the frame! But it turned out OK, I think. Except for the color leak...

Close up of the dots:

I did them with pbo "touch deco" paint.

I had my parents help me with the gluing of the netting to the frame. 6 hands is better than 2! We used bamboo skewers to hold the net tight while we glued it.

I really like this. It's so well done. That seems like it would have been a fun swap.

I used a picture hanging kit. I nailed two of these at the back.

Why two? Well, my dad pointed out that if Orrkid (my partner) put heavy earrings on one side it might become crooked. So I put one at each side, for more stability.
