Yesh!! I did it. I made this Zaphod for a swap! (Zaphod Beeblebrox is a character from Hitchhiker's GUide To The Galaxy) This is the biggest thing I've ever did, and I made the pattern myself, too! The only problem is that I put the two arms on the wrong side, there supposed to be two right arms, not left! I loves him tho, even though he's sort of basic, but I think i did a good job for a person who's barely knitted anything real!

THE PATTERN

Zaphod Beeblebrox Doll

What You Need
Yarn of your choice
Four double pointed needles (dpn) in the correct size that your yarn dictates
Two single point needles (snp) in the correct size that your yarn dictates
Size I crochet hook
Embroidery Floss in these colors: Brown( hree variant shade in dark/med) and Black

To Make Heads (Knit Two)

Cast-on 24 sts on a dpn with your chosen yarn. Arrange the stitches on three dpn with 8 on each needle. Knit in the round.

Row 1: k (24 sts)
Row 2: kfb, k11, kfb, k11 (26 sts)
Row 3: kfb, k12, kfb, k12 (28sts)
Row 4: kfb, k13, kfb, k13 (30 sts)
Row 5-15: Knit (30 sts)
Row 16: k2t, k13, k2t k13 (28 sts)
Row 17: k2t, k12, k2t, k12 (26 sts)
Row 18: k2t, k11, k2t, k11 (24 sts)
Row 19: k2t, k10, k2t, k10 (22 sts)
Row 20: k2t, k9, k2t, k9 (20 sts)
Row 21: k2t, k8, k2t, k9 (18 sts)

Cast-off.

Turn inside out and lay flat. Stitch the cast-on edge together. Turn right side out. Do not stuff yet. Set Aside.

To Make Legs (Knit Two)

Cast-on 12 sts on a dpn with your chosen yarn. Arrange the stitches on three dpn with 4 on each needle. Knit in the round.

Rows 1-35: Knit
Row 36: k2t, k2, k2t, k2, k2t, k2

Break yarn and pull end through remaining stitches. Tie off and pull yarn through tube.

Stuff with filling, except the near the opening. Lay opening flat and stitch it closed. This part will be hidden from view in the finished doll. Set Aside.

To Make Arms (Knit Three)

Cast-on 8 sts on dpn with your chosen yarn. Arrange the stitches on three dpn with 3 on two needles and 2 on the last. Knit in the round.

Rows 1-30: Knit
Row 31: k2t, k2, k2t, k2

Break yarn and pull end through remaining stitches. Tie off and pull yarn through tube.

Stuff with filling, except the near the opening. Lay opening flat and stitch it closed. This part will be hidden from view in the finished doll. Set Aside.

To Make Body (Knit One)

Cast-on 25 sts on spn. Knit in stocking stitch until you have knitted seventy rows.

Odd Rows: Knit
Even Rows: Purl

Cast off.  Set Aside.

To Make Hair

Take one brown embroidery floss and crochet a single chain in a circle.
Take all three browns and cut them at various lengths and fringe then in the crochet chains.

To Make Face

Take black embroidery floss and stitch a face on your heads.

To Assemble

Fold Body in half with V sides together. Place one arm inside with top edge sticking out. Sew down side. Do same with two arms on the other side. Do same with legs except only stitch where the legs are and not between. Sew heads onto shoulders, during this step you should make sure that the two arms are on the right. Stuff body and sew bottom hole closed.

Youre done!

Thanks for looking
