If you're in the north Houston area, you might like to know about a relatively new club that's formed, called the Spring Arts Guild.  It's a whole lot of fun with fabulous members who really make new people welcome.  Members range from professionals to people just starting to dabble.  While there does seem to be an overabundance of jewelry-makers, all types of art and craft are welcome (I'm mainly a knitter, myself).

The next meeting is this Saturday.  The doors open around 5:30 for browsing vendors and perusing the library, with the business meeting at 6:00, followed by a project or demonstration usually about 7:00 (depending on how much there is to talk about in the business meeting).

This month, the group will be meeting at Crafty Classes Studio, 419 Gentry Ste. 106, Spring , TX 77373 (Old Town Spring).  It will be moving to a new location next month, but since I missed last month's meeting, I don't have any more details.

You can find out more about the group at http://beadwork.meetup.com/54/.

Hope to see you there!
