our yarn store has a small 30'x30' sales floor, and we're thinking about just how we'll decorate this christmas.

any ideas for small, interesting, or clever holiday decorating tips?

There's the elegant idea - use nice 'velvet' ribbon and fairly lights. Create bows and garlands. I did that once in a small apartment and my family still talks about how beautiful it was.

Then there's the fun idea - hang Christmas trees from the ceiling up-side-down. You could decorate them with your products and finished goods. Maybe even have a ornament contest or something too.

Very cool and on-topic this year would be to do a "green" theme with recycled decorations - ornaments cut out of soda bottles, recycled newspaper garlands, a bit of solar powered xmas lights, some cool recycled ornaments cut out of CDs, popcorn garlands, etc.

I guess there's the completely obvious - mini socks, sweaters, mittens and hats, icord garland, and emergency ornaments:
