I've recovered wood folks have thrown out and turned it back into furniture. These tables are small enough you can make them from almost any scraps. The top and bottom don't even need to be from the same thickness of wood. Textured paint helped hide any scratches or dents in the wood. You can let your creativity loose for the supports.


The larger one was made from a fridge sized box/crate. The wood's an ugly particle board, but add a dark coat of paint and it looks fine. I eventually added metal trim to the edges to make them look cleaner though. The look was inspired from plane wings and submarine towers. It's strong enough to support a full pitcher of water at the wingtips.
