I just finished this bag and had to post it. Here's the tutorial I used as inspiration: http://etsylabs.blogspot.com/2007/05/long-overdue-fusing-plastic-bag.html  
I think this bag is made up of maybe 15-20 bags because you have to have about 6-8 layers for a good thickness..talk about reusing  Grin this is a way sturdy bag and Its gonna probably be a grocery bag after I get tired of wearing it around. The best bags to fuse are target bags and kohls bags. i am going crazy with this fusing thing..I have even fused the plastic that TP comes in and bread bags!

Very cool! May I swipe your idea? I need a MUCH bigger purse to take along on a trip next week so I've got all my important stuff handy, and a sling bag would be perfect -- especially a cute one made out of recycled plastic bags.  Smiley
