"It's my light in a box...it's my light..." - yeah, two points if you get the reference.  Tongue

What I really needed for a light was a portable one since most of my crafting happens around our coffee table, in a low lit room. So - the cigar box light was born:
With the lid closed -

Light off -

Light on

Thanks for checking it out!!

This is such a cool idea for all those cigar boxes I have lying around!

This light is simple and really elegant. Nice job re-purposing that cigar box!

Thanks for the comments you two!

It certainly was simple. I love how it looks when the light is on though and it is terribly helpful for my world. I'm debating drilling holes in the door for light to shine throughnot sure about the heat factor if the door is closed with the light on though. My boyfriend suggested a tree pattern which sounds about right to me...Ill post another pic if I go through with the additional revamping. Smiley

Oh my god, it's a light, but it's in a box. A light, in a box! A carry-aroundable light, in a handy box!  Cheesy

I'm just guessing here: is it a reference to that SNL sketch "D*ck in a Box"?

Sadly yes, my boyfriend got fixated on that song for far too long, I fear it is engraved into my very psyche. Tongue
