I made another tree, the link is on page 5

This was done for a personal swap.  She received it today, so it is safe to post.

Some details:  I used a small branch from my yard, however I had to alter it some...the darn branches weren't in the correct spots!

I had to cute the 3mm wide paper in half to make the cherry blossoms.  Yep thats right thwsw chubby fingers worked with paper 1.5 mm wide!

It is sitting inside a 5x7in shadow box frame, so it is about 6 inches tall.

It was a challenge, but it was also great to see it work!

I hope you enjoy...any comments are welcome.

Another gorgeous quilling piece by you! Smiley I do have one suggestion, and take it for what it is worth...

In the first image you notice the Cherry Blossom first since it stands out against the background. However, in the shadow box the blue takes away from the tree. A more subdued color or background would be less subtracting. Smiley

By the way...rockin'!

Besides the fact that you did and AWESOME job on this, I am a total sucker for anything cherry blossom.  I sooo need to try and make one of these!

I totally appreciate the feedback.  I will say that I agree with you in the photos...but I was inside and I had to use a flash, the blue is actually a picture of the sky I took, and I think the photo paper and the flash made it look really bright.  I don't think the background is actually that bright.  I had the whole inside painted black, but I felt it was too dark.  If I do anything like this again, I'll take your advice and try a neutral.
Thanks for the input.
