Ok everyone here it is Smiley

New Look Pattern #6557

I didnt use a mannequin or anything, i just put the zipper in first and pinned the dress to my body and then sewed the sides shut. i made the complete front of the dress, and back. i actually had to adjust the pattern to fit me cause im smaller than the pattern, except in the boobs. The machine i sew on is pretty sexy too, a janome 6660p , which is a super fantastic machine Smiley Thank you so much for your comments and it really is my first garment.

Oh yeah and it took about 3 hours to make

So don't take anything for granted, stand outside in the rain. An excuse, you know I planned it. Every ending ends all the same...

Good job!  That is a great pattern and I thought that was it was as soon as I saw your dress.  I just made a dress using it and I want to make at least three more.  I had to to take mine in when I put my zipper in since the measurements gave me a size too big. Seems like quite a few people have had issues with the sizing on it but it is super easy to fit if it is too big.  I had close to 3 inch seams on either side of the zipper. Now I just need to figure out how to add length in the waist since the midpoint where the waist is supposed to be is about three inches too high. I didn't do any piping though.  It looks fantastic with it.

Beautiful dress!  I love the contrast piping.  I definitely want to try that pattern.

that dress is great, it fits you perfectly! Cheesy I love the green details
making your own dress really beats buying some generic dress at some generic shop, doesn't it?

The dress looks great for you, and it fits!  That is a big deal, especially for your first ever garment!  You have a bright and shining sewing future.   Cheesy

That is sooooo cute. It looks like a dress I made recently except cuter. XD And you're cute, which also helps. Great job!
