He looks like he is hiding. Like bunnies do when they are scared. they sort of flatten out and pretend to hide. Oh and his eyes are definitely freaked. Wink
Very cute! great job!

When I first saw the picture of the bunny, it reminded me of the time I was cutting the grass and mowed over a depression in the lawn. When I pulled the mower back over the spot, I was shocked to see a couple of little bunnies tucked into the depression. They looked exactly like this one...except that they were brown. And terrified looking...

None of my house rabbits have ever done that when they are scared. When they are scared their eyes get really large, you can see the whites, they sit up tall and thump. Like they did when someone was trying to break into my house.
When they are laying down with their chin on the ground they are relaxing and also frequently stretch their legs out behind them at the same time. I think they do it to cool off too because their ears are up. It's a warm weather position. In cold weather they curl up in a tight ball for resting.
I used to have a bunny and perhaps she was just weird but she'd do the hide thing any time the dogs or a person walked by her. (Only while she was out of the cage though.) She didn't ever seem afraid when she was in the cage and you'd open it in fact she'd come right up to you and sniff and give you kisses. She was a weird bunny though....
