This is my first quilt ever that I made from a bunch of weird scraps I had in my stash.  I think it turned out alright considering I didnt even know what I was doin.  I cant wait to start on another one, this time with matching fabrics and everything.

It's more than all right!
It's beautiful, excellent, really well done.
It looks really complex to me, with all the different angles...

I love it! I think it looks amazing, I was just thinking of this morning using up all my scrap yarn by knitting some huge monster blanket, now that will put your blanket to shame!

I really like it.  Smiley

GREAT job!!  First Quilt!!!!  That is a good pattern to use for a scrap quilt.  You'll have to post pictures of your next quilt!

well i think it looks really great!  I like how you chose to tie it in the center of each pinwheel.  Even though it's a scrappy quilt, all the color combos seem to work together.  And is that cow print fabric i see?  You can't ever go wrong with cow print! Wink

What is the name of this pattern?  is it paper pieced?  I really like it and i know ive seen the pattern somewhere online, i just cant recall where.

Again, great work,  A quilt to really be proud of.

Thanks everyone!  I gave the quilt to my mom....well she practically said she was gunna take it anyways lol   So I HAVE to make myself another one.  Anyone got a pattern to recommend for a beginner? I got the pattern for this one from the Better Homes and Gardens 101 full-size Quilt Blocks and Borders.  This one was called Ticking Stripes.

Fantastic first time!  Love the texture of all the different patterns, and I really like the sense of motion the pattern evokes.

I always like to suggest Rail Fence for beginners ... it is sooper-dooper easy, a real "can't-mess-it-up-even-if-you-try" sort of block. And even tho it is a real basic block, you can jazz it up to heights unknown with fabu fabrics.
