I saw one on a Nesquick (powdered chocolate milk mix for those of you who are unfamiliar with the stuff) commercial and loved it.  I had a few records left over from when I was making bowls out of them (I figured out how to make stretched ones so they really look like bowls!).  Turns out, I only had five left, I wish I had more but..... Here's what I made from the five I had left.  It looks a lot better in person than it does on the wall.  I just couldn't get any -really good- pictures of it... It's supprisingly bright, it gives off enough light to see clearly in my livingroom.

Lights on:

For the light, all I used was 5 records, 1 strand of white Christmas lights, a strand of thick yarn and a metric ton of hot glue lol.  Seriously though.  The entire thing cost like $1 in the end.  I had bought two strands of lights for Christmas, I got the hot glue gun and extra glue from the dollar store like, last year and I got a big box of records off Freecycle awhile ago (some of which are even worth some money!!).  The entire thing is held together with hot glue.  The good thing is the lights don't get hot enough to even get the glue warm.  If you make one, make sure you glue the base of the light so you can still change one just incase one goes out and so the light doesn't heat the glue.

And to cathiphop, I made a tutorial for you and whoever else wants it.
