living room tissue paper lamp

I made this lamp kinda based off my entry to the last challenge, but these don't fold.

I had a lot of lamp parts since years ago I would take lamps apart for fun and *tried* to make new ones.  We needed a lamp in the living room so this is what I made.


With the lights on.


the parts I used are:  a white lamp base and a silver rod.  Then I needed to extend the rod so I used a part from an old coffee pot it also had a flat circle attached which would hold up the shade.  Christmas lights used for the lighting and 2 zip ties.


the shade was made from this natural looking tissue paper and wood craft sticks (not pictured)

I also made a shade with the red tissue paper.  I think I like the white better though.
