My husband decided last week that he really wanted to give his mother a birthstone pendant for Mother's Day.  Unfortunately, he discovered that it would take a few weeks to have one made and sent to her, and it wouldn't arrive in time.  When he came to me for suggestions for something different, I decided that I would make her one since he had his heart set on it.

I bought the pendant, chain, and some Swarovski crystals at the craft shop, and a few minutes later, I had a really simple solution to the problem.  It cost a lot less than what we would have paid for one elsewhere, and it was made with love.  He's really happy with it, and I really hope she likes it to.

I really wanted to share this for anyone who's scrambling for a last-minute Mother's Day gift idea, since it took such a short time to make.

Having an open mind isn't a bad thing. Just don't open it so wide that your brain falls out.

That is absolutely beautiful AND a great Mother's Day gift idea!  I'm sure your mother-in-law will love it!
