I love 99s! These are so cute. And yes, I wish they were 99p still.

I remember hearing a story a while ago where my friend's mind was on *ahem* other things, and she asked for a 69. Ah, the giggles...

Lol! I bet that made the ice cream vendor's day.  Grin

Flake bar+frosting=amazing combination. Wink

I don't think I've ever actually PAID for a 99...I vaguely remember a conversation with my MIL when I first got here about why they were called 99s if that's not what they cost but since she normally treats at the ice cream van, I live in blissful ignorance.  Grin

Not long ago I was discussing with my boyfriend the importance of the flake to the 99 ice cream. Flakes make things more expensive, it would be cheaper if you went for the ice cream and cone, no flake. And I for one, feel that the flake is unnecessary embellishment. See, the temperature of the ice cream makes the chocolate so cold that the melting in the mouth experience is near impossible, so you just munch it and eat it, lest the rest of the ice cream melts whilst you're savouring your flake.

It's a shame, because flakes are my all time favourite chocolate bar. They melt at just the right speed and time! Just not when put with ice cream...

But! These are with frosting! There's no chilling of the flake! It's perfection! Ahh, if only ice cream vans were capable of making cupcakes...

A travelling cupcake van? I'd beat the kids there!  Grin
