So, I decided to do away with all lof my newspaper cuttings and web printouts and 'scrap' my favourite recipes. It's stil a work in progress, but I am really pleased with how it's coming along. I am trying to use up al of my left over stuff to do it, and I have managed to keep the costs down so far. Anyway, here it is

I am taking pictures of the meals as we actually cook them, so the photo's are a genuine!

Thats all there is so far!

More (sorry about the quality of the photo's):

Two more!

Wow, that's so cool! I have an obsession with recipe books, but I haven't gone around to making one for me yet. I love the flower on the top corner of the pink rectangle on the cover! And all your pages look gorgeous, I especially like the bread one!

that's totally amazing and very clever!

i love to cook a lot, and i think something like this would make a great gift for a friend (since i could never use it myself... my recipe cards are all so stained and messy and i'd hate to ruin something so pretty.), especially if filled with all personal/customised recipes.

Hi I just joined the site. woohoo for first post. I have to say that I love this project. I am actually in the process of making something very similar. My recipes were all hand written in a journal and the pages are starting to show their wear from being in the kitchen. I love how you put your pages in scrapbook pages/sheet protectors!

Are the images included in your book your own pictures of your cooked food or from the original source of the recipe? just curious because i never thought of taking my own pictures of food for the book!

Thank you all for your kind replies!

The images are my own, some of the pages don't have images as we either eat to fast or I need to work on my food presentation!

I had put the book on hold for a while but I am back on track now, so I will post any updates.

The sheets are in an A4 document book, nothing special!

That is a really beautiful cookbook!  I'm sure it will become a family keepsake.  I am working on a cookbook using the photo carousel made by 7Gypsies and your layouts gave me some great ideas.  Thanks!

Hi. I rarely venture into this forum but just wanted to say I love this! Definitely an inspiration. I'd like to get into scrap booking some day and have amassed a few supplies but right now my obsession is fabric and sewing so...yeah. Anyway, awesome job!

I love that! It's awesome! I love the way you decorated the pages! Great job! You made me want to go and scrapbook my recipes, but I'm not that good at scrapbooking so it definitely wouldn't turn out that good.
