ok, firstly, I'm a knitter through and through, I really can't hand sew unless it's for practical purposes, and I'm scared of sewing machines!

but I'm determined to get past this!

So, here's my first real attempt at "pretty" sewing!  The SO loves tea, and has a habit of buying loose tea, which is fine, we have a teapot cafetire type thing, but it's a nightmare to clean.  So, I said (in a really vague way) that I'd make him some reusable teabags... and he keeps asking... so I destroyed one of his old linen shirts (it was threadbare in places, he won't even notice...) and used the sleeves (which already had a handy folded over seam thing that I used for the drawstring bit) and here we are!

(I'm not sure the steam is obvious, but that's what the blue bits are meant to be!)

I like it - the "steam" adds to it. Smiley I never would have thought of sewing a reusable teabag - I may have to try this!

So cute! I love it! I really enjoy the "simple" crafts. I knew what the steam was immediately. I thought of making some of these for my mother, and if I do, I'll have to due some little embroidery on the corner.

Fantastic!
