yay! new skirt! I love skirts! It's made out of an old scrub top, so kudos for me for a free skirt and being resourceful

Do you guys think it's too short?



If you guys were to see me walking down the street or something of that nature, would you think "Damn, that might as well be a headband."?
Or is it acceptable for public use?

If it is too short, I could easily add a pleated hem with some purple fabric I have here.

The print is too awesome for words haha


Oh, I almost forgot the zipper+ button tab detail:

My first time sewing a buttonhole! and the zipper is hand sewn, since I don't have a zipper foot.

..I do think it's a lil too short though...but that might be just me..
it's like an if-cant-sit-or-pick-something-i-dropped-without-worrying-about-my-undies then it's too short kind of thing
but! U can just wear it with tights! the awesome-est invention ever!

I like it--it IS short but not overly skanified.  If you are questioning it, maybe add that sassy pleated hem.

The fabric is very cute and I like what you did with the waistband. In answer to your question if it's too short: yes. I shake my head at girls with skirts that short, but that's a matter of personal taste.

1. I have that shirt..I love it lol

2. if you can't sit in it without your butt getting cold..probley too short but I say it all depends where you wear it also..I have skirts i would never wear outside but i wear around the house for comfort and whatnot. You could always just add to the bottom with tule or like someone said a pleated bottom would be cute. or a pair of leggings would be cute under it too

I think it's super cute, but it is a little short for my taste. If you don't have any more of the same fabric, though, I would hesitate to add anything to the bottom for fear it would detract from the pattern. If you're the type to go for the capri tights, I think they'd look cute with it.
Either way, it's a nice skirt and I'm seriously envying your zipper/button tab skills. Mine always come out looking like something the dog sewed. LOL
