that is TRULY awesome....i cant wait till the put Duckhunt of the Wii (or sell the game compatible with it)

a rare wist on my part, but this is awesome

I'm probably going to look silly for having to ask, but what exactly is a 'wist'?  *blush*

This is SPECTACULAR! Oh and now, I've a dilemma. Do I keep my unusually well preserved gun (that goes along with an equally well kept unit) or do I make a lamp?

Haha, I know the dilemma all too well!  My NES has been picky, so I don't know if my gun works or not... I went all over town trying to find one to use so I wouldn't have to take mine apart- finally, in a last ditch effort, I went to a second hand store that claims not to sell the 'individual parts' for the game systems, but they had one which they sold me for $4!  (Double the price I've seen them for in the thrift shop in town, but I really didn't want to take mine apart!)  If you do decide to make one, I'd love to see it! Cheesy

What did you use to mount the gun to the "game"? Is the shade one of those  that wrap around the bulb or is there more hardware included?

I so love that!!You're amazing! I remember playing that game when I was little and standing like a foot away from the screen and thinking how great I was at it Tongue I still have the system and have to hook it up every once and awhile...but of course I gotta give it a good "blow job" to work Grin Tongue

So you, could spend the morning walkin with me, quite amazed. As I am unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed.

MissDisney, thanks for the 'wist' explanation! Cheesy

What did you use to mount the gun to the "game"? Is the shade one of those  that wrap around the bulb or is there more hardware included?

The gun is screwed through the inside of the game with a screw and a big washer, and into the handle of the gun. The shade is actually one that's held in place by the bulb, but I added some hot glue so it wouldn't be so wobbly with a small bulb.

Oh, I know!  I used to have the gun *right* on the screen!  *giggle*

This lamp makes up for every time the damn dog laughed at me for missing the duck.
I think I may have to go scavenging to make one of these myself! (although I'm not sure if I could make it look as good!)

Great job.  I love the Duck Hunt theme as well as the Execution.
