Here is mine...  the only reason this plant is still alive to take pictures of is because I just got it for a gift.  ;P

Woah... this is beautiful... What type of flower is it may I ask?

Ok, this is weird but it has to be said: It looks like it would taste delish! Not trying to sound weird, but it sorta looks like candy.....*But, this is coming from a girl who chewed a little piece of cupcake-modeled clay because it looked good... hey, it was only a little bit!*  Cheesy

According to the tag that came in the pot it is an Aechmea, but the person who gave it to me called it a "Bromeliad" (sp??).  Either way, the tag says it takes relatively little care & not too much sunlight, so MAYBE I can keep it alive!

My mom has a bunch of those in pots on her porch! They are ugly little things when they are not in bloom, but when the flowers come out... wow! They are amazing.

Very nice shot! I love these flowers and have quite a few plants around my house. They are actually quite hard to kill - just a little water every now and then and your good to go. They also come in a lot of different colors - I dont have one that looks like yours - but I will soon after seeing that photo, lol.

It's not a real sport unless you can die from massive internal injuries.

I think I can manage to remember to water it now & again... now if I can just keep the dog & kids from knocking it off the plant stand again.  Thanks for the upkeep advice :-)
