This is a placemat purse that I made a while back, I thought to post it b/c I pullede it out of the closet today to use it.  At any rate - I thought I would share it......

i like it!! how exactly did you do the handles? (if you don't mind me asking) its different and very pretty!!

I sewed, using the sewing machine, the ribbon onto the placemat, leaving enough ribbon to tie a knot.  After I tied a knot, I hand stitched it in place.  Does that make sense?
