Altered Ancestors Gallery!

For this swap, each of us sent the other participants a couple of old photos of our parents, grandparents, or just people to whom we wished we were related! Everyone chose a photograph to work with and then altered it to suit its subject before returning it to its family. Here's a link to the original swap.

Look at my fantabulous makover my Gran received! I love it!



I love the egg and nest elements! Can you see that part of the background is a 'how to poach shell eggs' recipie? I love her wings too, and the stars! My Gran had a huge button collection, so I love that there are old buttons on there!



I really love this stamp, it's perfect!

Thank you so much Racky! Let's hope I don't cry at them all or I shall be in a state by the end! (I warn you all now, it's an emotional experience opening the envelope!)

Wow! It's just gorgeous! I love the soft colors and that wonderful recipe peeking through and that stamp on the back is fantabulous!

Phizzy, I spent the better part of last night trying to figure out why my scanner isn't scanning before giving up and going to bed. Do you have a pic available of my Aunt and Uncle that you could post until I get this figured out?

I just adore what you did with them and using an old book cover was just genius!
