Funny you should mention Harry. The original plan included a beaten up copy from work (Library), but.. well the spine sorta fell off. lol

I LOVE this lamp.  I am a huge reader too.  (And how lucky are you that you get to work in a Library?)  I may just have to make one.

Being a lover of books myself I have a very hard time even thinking about doing anything more destructive to them than saving my place by laying one open face down.  However, I do have some out of date law books I saved from the trash in case I was ever inspired to book alteration...and this may be just the inspiration I was waiting for: I love this idea!  Wouldn't this provide a nice ambient glow, or even make a great nightlight?  Now let's see, where DID I put those old legal tomes....
