I claim dianamariemtv for -polymer clay and/or any tools of the trade
This is my 3rd claim, 1 in transit, 1 received
I am in Florida in the USA!
I’m in my early thirties. My favorite colors are jewel tones like purple, green, blue. I like black and silver too. I am not fond of pink or orange. I love birds (all: owls, fat yard birdies, penguins, parrots, hawks etc). As far as fabrics go, I like more plain fabrics or cute things (not childish though). No small flowers/polka dots/stripes. I love gaming like World of Warcraft or Myst. I like to read and am into fantasy art as well. Lord of the Rings is probably my all time favorite movie series. Star Wars comes in a close second though.
I do not like kitschy things, and prefer useful things.
Allergies: I am allergic to cats. But if you just keep them away from the things you are sending, it should be fine.
crafted
* Cross wall-hanging of wire and beads (approx 13" tall). I love
this one
!
* thrummed mittens (L/XL for man...preferably navy blue, dark grey or dark green with natural colored wool thrums)
http://www.wool-tyme.com/mittens.html
* A gourd birdhouse like
this one
.
* A wooden box painted in the
Sticks style
. I love the black and white striped borders they do. Maybe with a bird and/or heart theme?
* Little bifold wallet like
this one
. I do not like magnetic snaps. Would prefer a regular snap or even velcro instead.
* Funky index card organizer like
this one
. Maybe with a steampunk theme?
*Beaded or crocheted/knitted Miser Bag example like
this
I love the silver and black combo on the first one.
* steampunk resin pendant with clock gears etc in it
* hand-spun yarn
* owl or bird stained glass sun catcher
supplies
* broken vintage watches
* scrabble tiles!!
* Artist carving blocks like
this one
or
this one
.
* Yarn: I'd like to try some unusual yarns like bamboo, soy or something along those lines.
* Grosgrain ribbon - 3/4" - 1". At least 1 foot long per piece in any color would be great.
Thank you, Mimiw!! I'll leave this up because I can always use more!
* BLACK satin ribbon 1/4" in width. Lots.
Like
this one
.
* zippers: new, polyester teeth, regular style (not invisible or separating), 12" or longer like these:
http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2849&PRODID=prd48317
Any colors welcomed although neutrals (white, black, tans) would probably be easier to match.
* Acrylic paints (fluid acrylics, craft acrylics, thick acrylic in tubes, anything!)
* Wool felt (not acrylic felt)
* screenprinting fabric paints (any except black)
* cute japanese fabric with a bird theme - 1/2 yard or larger
* old wool sweaters to felt (any size, any color)
Thank you, Mimiw!!
*
Book: "Warm Fuzzies: 30 Sweet Felted Projects: Betz White" Used is fine!
Thank you, Mimiw!!
*
learn to embroider kit
Thank you, hngoodlett!
extras
* pocky (would prefer chocolate if possible!) I have no idea where to purchase this.
* coffee from your area of the world
Or something from my
wist
list.
Thank you in advance if you choose me!

I'd like to claim Avesthel for a bifold wallet please! List in a sec...
This is my first claim
About me : I'm 16, and in the UK, I've tried pretty much any craft that you can throw at me, but I especially enjoy sewing, and hope to work in the fashion industry. I love bright colours and shy away from pastels, my favourite colour is red (or maybe navy), and the only colour I don't like at all is yellow. I'm not really into cutesy or decorative-only things on the whole, if I had to describe my style it would be colourfully-preppy! I read a lot, but don't watch much on TV or at the cinema.
Crafts:
- Any kind of jewelery, accessories or clothing with poppies on it, some ideas below.
-Felt brooch
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9343769
-Necklace
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8154707
-Dress (but not that small!)
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9466211
-Headband
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11593177
- Journal! Lined paper would be great, or a mixture of lined and non lined/decorative. Not to be too picky, but something about the size of a normal softback book would be great. I'm fully aware that this is a huge wish, but something like this would be amazing -
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8548631
- A fascinator/hairpiece (or tiara) for my upcoming ball. My dress is postbox red, but the hairpiece need only coordinate, not necessarily match. I don't really want anything too princessy, and if it happened to feature poppies, you'd have a very happy girl!
- Jar of whimsies! Just a little one, shipping would get hideous quickly!
- A new handbag, since my current one recently died! A sturdy bag, big enough to fit an A4 binder, in a dark colour would be great, felted wool doubly so!
A few inspiration links
-
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5726022
-
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9252193
- Anything gossip-girl inspired (and I mean their clothes, not their attitudes!
) Headbands especially.
- Feathered hairband a-la -
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11664960
or
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11662545
Supplies:
Books - Doodle stitching, Sublime stitching craft pad, Stitch & Bitch, Stitch & Bitch nation, Last minute patchwork & quilted gifts, In stitches, the crafters companion, Sew U... gently used is fine, and if you have something else you think I'd like, feel free to run it by me!
Magazines would be nice too, readymade, knitting magazines... any non-british craft magazines, pretty much!
Fabric - Cool prints, nothing too cutesy please, bold florals is good, or skull prints! Don't really need knits or plain cottons.
Beads - Yes please! Surprise me. No plastic though, please.
Extras:
Candy (but no gelatin please), Magazines, Postcards! Please don't feel obliged, though.

I claim Happychick for: "A new handbag, since my current one recently died!" and maybe a surprise also
This is my 1st claim this round
Hello!!!
My name is Kimberly and I live in Oregon with the hubby. I am a stay at home mom to two children, one girl (4) and a boy (3 mo), and a self-employed portrait photographer.
I mainly sew, but never for myself. (Isn’t that always the case…) I love sewing clothing for children, my kids and for friends also. I am a total bag whore, I can never have enough bags!
I love most colors, and green is my favorite. All shades of green are great esp. when paired with brown, cream, white, black, or robin’s egg blue. I also love paisley prints!
If you are going to knit or crochet something for me to wear I would prefer that it not be in wool. I am not allergic but it is still way too itchy for me.
Recycled, upcycled, thrifted or reused is always good to me as long as it doesn’t smell funky.
A thanks in advance for whomever chooses me!
(big wishes are in green)

I claim klum78 for comfy pj pants and Amy Karol's book, plus maybe some other surprises...
This is my first claim, 0 sent, 0 received.
My name is Elise and I live in Chicago with my three cats. I work as a mental health professional--I totally love my job, but I barely scrape by living in Chicago. I'm originally from VA, but moved here seven months ago. I mostly sew and crochet, but I also love embroidery (when I have the time) and shrinky dinks. I love Craftster and am so addicted to swaps! I love making things for other people, and love the idea that someone made something just for me.
My list:
Wish List:
Craft:
- Handspun yarn
- I LOVE totes and bags
- a wallet
- beaded bracelet or necklace
- framed (or frameable) subversive cross-stitch saying
- stitch markers
- silk-screened/stenciled t-shirts (if you claim me for this, ask me more about it)
- framed (or frameable) hand-embroidery
- a pincushion! I suck at making them. My current one is totally pitiful.
- soldered pendant
- a zippered pouch
- anything with birds—particularly pigeons, sparrows, or crows, but I love all kinds
- a hand-bound/homemade journal
- I love dandilions. Make me something with dandilions on it and I will love you forever.
- Coasters
- crochet hook roll
- anything based on my wists,
www.wists.com/pleaseelise
Supplies:
- yarn! I especially love cotton yarn, but I’ll never refuse yarn
- fabric—if anyone had some Amy Butler floating around their stash, I would so, so love them. But other fabric is great, too.
-
magnetic snaps for purses
thanks klum78!
-
zippers (I have plenty of 7-inch ones, but I need other sizes)
thanks klum78!
-
coloured thread, like for a conventional sewing machine. I have black, white, and brown, but could use a bright (not neon) green, and any blues or pinks
thanks klum78!
-
paper ephemera (vintage flaschards, old photos, old children’s books, pretty papers, etc)
thanks klum78!
- ink-jet shrinky-dink paper (I have regular, but I want the kind I can use in my printer)
- sublime stitching patterns
- buttons, preferably older/vintage ones—but any will do.
Extras:
- Chocolate is always good. Always.

I'll claim sajona for Mod Podge and other supplies, and I'll try some ATCs too.
This is my 2nd claim this round, 0 sent
Me: I'm in the celebrated armpit of California (San Joaquin Valley), working on moving to someplace greener and less hot. I have an elderly dog-baby who is the joy of my life. My
wists
are not an actual wishlist; they’re to provide some insight into my interests in the material world. Because I am a Friend of Craftster, my profile there has lots of pertinent details, too. I like reusing and recycling, and anything in this list can be used, esp the more expensive stuff. I am vegetarian, left-handed, leftist, non-pierced, and am sensitive to smoke.
Crafts, in no particular order
:
-
RecycleCindy's plastic bag tote
- paper you've made
- something woven from palm leaves/fronds (for family, not me)
- birdhouse or some other outdoors/backyard item carved out of a coconut (also for family, not me)
- Men's XL or Women's L (either; depends on who I give it to) t-shirt with a stencil/design based on the movie "Urban Cowboy," which is a big source of humor in my family.
- small embroidered patch that you've already finished
- this kind of skirt-to-tank recon:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=25645.0
- small felted soap
- a bumper-sticker type sticker OR silkscreened/embroidered/etc t-shirt of your design that says one of the following:
“My genes are out of the pool”,
OR something like, "I <3 being a bleeding-heart liberal psychobabble new-age tree-hugging hippie-freak crazy-driver vegetarian Californian" (add more names/stereotypes of Californians as you see fit, but check with me to make sure it fits!
)
- tie-dyed or batiked sheet set for my full-sized futon (regular bed-sheets are fine, and again I’m fine with 2nd-hand sources)
- Miscellaneous cloth/reusable items to take the place of disposable stuff (I'm all set with plenty of cloth menstrual pads and cloth napkins for now! And I've determined that nothing I own needs a "cozy") -
Thanks to catpants for a pending bag!
- Hippyish recon clothing (patched-together kind of stuff, such as an apron-top), medium size. Examples aplenty in my wists (most are toward the end), and I can dig up some tutorials, too.
- a small light-table like this:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=243984.msg2695565#msg2695565
- a laptop sleeve
- tip-in pages - I don’t have the journal yet that people are using in the Tip-in Swap, but if you send me a page I’ll send you one back in the future. (:
- your ATCs
- Sandals made from tire tread, I’m women’s U.S. size 7.5-8
- A snood
- a basket for my newly found bicycle…kitschy but not cutesy
- Earth-friendly little goodies, like things made from hemp, essential oils, beeswax candle, organic homemade exfoliating bath products, herbal tea,...
- Wraparound pants, aka Thai fishermen's pants.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=161380.0
- Rug/floor-mat made from used plastic bags or other recycled stuff
- wrap skirt ala:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=237248.msg2601783#msg2601783
- A lightweight, washable coat, crocheted/knit poncho, or shirt for my small cocker spaniel. It can be as girly as you like, and any color. If it doesn't fit her, I can pass it on to the animal rescue groups I work with for other deserving dogs.
- a cooling neck-wrap -- with the little crystals inside that expand into gel when you soak it in water.
Here's an example.
thank you, arwena! I'll gladly take another one for my family, though, if someone wants to claim me for it.
- mosquito-netting hoop setup for over the bed:
http://www.sewing.org/enthusiast/html/e_duvet_cover.html#a
- Homemade berry jam/preserves! yumyumyum.
- No-grain treats for my doggie-girl (she has grain allergies but that doesn't affect her appetite!). She's very carnivorous, even if I'm not.
My dog and I thank quilted for what was apparently a very delicious treat! (I didn’t try it, but my dog loved it!)
- Baked goods for me! I love them all. Only if you're in the U.S., though, since they'd need to arrive within a couple days of being baked, presumably.
-
anything
you can make that features a good rendition of Heen, the dog from Howl's Moving Castle -- I adore that dog! The eyes and the feet are the most important details to get in there (he has these weird chicken-feet).
-
anything
you can make that features Speak, The Tick's dog (erm, capybara, actually)!
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Heights/5139/Tick/speak.html
Craft Supplies:
- This watercolor journal, for use in future Tip-In swaps:
http://www.dickblick.com/zz118/12/
- hinges, buckles, and other hardcover bookmaking hardware (doesn't have to be from a bookbinding or craft company; stuff from the hardware store is fine)
- Black photo corners
- Glue Dots
- a wee bit of the black fake lead stuff used with glass-painting
- rotary punch (usually in the leatherwork section of the craft stores, it's a hole-punch with multiple sizes)
- Mirror(s) with a plain wide frame for decorating, such as:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90075741
- citric acid (for bath-bombs)
- a rubber stamp (handmade or store bought) of a tiki or a hula-girl
- Stickers, fabric, paper, embellishments--ANY kind of craft supplies--that have a retro/vintage tiki/tropical/hawaiian/british-colonial/bamboo (but non-cutesy) look.
- Stickers, fabric, paper, ephemera, stamps, embellishments--ANY kind of craft supplies--that feature meercats (other than Timon), California history, feminism, historical women who kick ass, absurdity in otherwise serious/dignified moments, goats, archetypal characters/symbols, wombats, capybaras...I would be so shocked if there actually were capybara or wombat craft products out there.
- the little devices that can record short sound-bites to be replayed when a greeting card is opened. Know what I’m talking about? Either greeting cards that have those devices, or the devices by themselves.
**DCWV is now marketing some just for scrapbooking, thank goodness!
- Metallic or other abnormal embroidery thread or filigree
- Any size or scraps of interesting origami paper, scrapbook paper or other decorative paper from or similar to the designs
here
- Paint pens, esp metallic ones that aren't gold or silver (I just bought some of those)
- Prismacolor colored pencils -- I don’t care how used-up and short they are
- Sharpies or other fairly fine-point markers with a good ink-flow.
- Strong adhesive that isn't too fumey or toxic
- dried, pressed plants/flowers
- handmade paper; or other specialty artist paper. Scraps are fine.
- black or white gesso (the cheapy kind is fine since I’ve never used it before)
- milagros
- old typewriter keys, or the circular letter charms that look old like that
- handheld rotary cutter
- set of small alphabet rubber stamps in a very cool font. If it’s missing a few letters that’s okay.
- Boooooks...
My amazon.com craft book wishlist
Books about Tasha Tudor. Books about book-making, creative writing, journaling or journal-making, scrap-papercraft, altered imagery, artists books/journals, and/or the therapeutic use of any of these. Books about becoming less of a consumer and more of a DIYer, affordably. Books about things we can make and do that are therapeutic to the soul and spirit (I <3 SARK). Dover art books with or without cd-rom.
- Your guide to subversive/guerrilla crafting, or someone else’s that you have.
-
Solid storage for 12x12 scrapbook paper
pending!
Extras
:
- a cutting from your hardy succulent plant
- a fortune-teller fish – I’ve seen a few pictures on Craftster but still can’t figure out what, exactly, they are! I must be the only kid who didn’t know about these growing up.
- likewise, I’m curious about devil dogs. But not cabana boys.
Many thanks!!

I claim calluna for the RecycleCindy tote!
My second claim, none sent yet. I'm in New York City.
Crafts:
- Shrink plastic stitch markers from the film “Brick”
- Anything inspired by Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz
- Two matching Altoid tins decorated with the phases "Now upon a time.." and "...and they all lived." These are the two phrases on the CDs for Rufus Wainwright's Want One and Want Two.
- This sweater in emerald, cornflower blue or yellow:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=184172.0
. I have tried to make it three times but I cannot get it to fit my bust and waist anywhere close to right because I don’t know how to size up raglan. (47b-36w-45h)
- Rhinestone USB drive:
http://www.crystalcoutureinc.com/gallery.cfm
(click on “clothing/accessories”) made to look like the Fire one.
- The leather pouch Sweeney Todd holds his razor in (movie version)
- A silver ring with emerald and amethyst crystals alternating (in a channel setting would be great in like an infinity band) for added bonus if anyone can engrave it with “protégé moi” I would seriously be eternally indebted.
- A pincushion made to look like the human heart (anatomical), something a little bigger than a fist.
- A patch with “Gustatus similis Pullus” done in a collegian style.
- Amigurumi of anything from Star Wars, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz
- Summer scarf in purple or green
- Thick headband in purple or green
- Silk Orchid hair clip
- Orchid pin (silk, metal, plastic, anything really, I really like orchid pins)
- Earring holder with lyrics from a Placebo song on it
- Wrist pin cushion... I think I'm describing it correctly.
Supplies:
- Pillowcases with lace/eyelet edges. These can be from thrift stores or any mismatched ones lying around the house.
- Old pointe shoes
- White muslin (I live in NYC, this stuff ends up costing like $4 a yard plus tax where as in normal places it costs like $1-$2) I need like 10 yards of it for a costume.
- Any Harry Potter fabric
- Correst stays
- Sewing patterns (cut is fine, would be best if in a size 16-22)
Extras:
- Anything Catholic or Marian, especially stuff to put in my shrine (can be found stuff, or crafted stuff, so I put it in extras)
- If anyone is really talented at knit pattern design if they could have a look at the sweater worn by the character of “Emily” in the movie “Brick,” any advice or even a pattern would be amazing (I’m sure its not complicated, I just don’t have the head for knit designs)
- Also on the knitting pattern front,
http://www.ugly-is-in.com/visuals/displayimage.php?album=55&pos=182
, there are a lot more screen caps of this sweater on the sight and once again I lack any knowledge of how to make it. Its folded over at the top down over the bust line, which is hard to see in the photos.
ABOUT ME:
I'm 22 year young super villain masquerading as an under paid legal assistant. I love to make costumes and clothing (current projects include a 1970s style frocking dress to go see "Hair" in this summer and a modern dress inspired by the late 1700s). I live in New York, suffice to say some days I chose fabric over food and sleep. My motto (Shanghaied from a Springsteen song): It takes a red-headed woman to get a dirty job done.

I claim Dr.RubyDoomsday for eyelet pillow cases and something for ya inspired by Hot Fuzz!
This is my first claim (0 sent, 0 received).
Hi All! I’m a 30-year-old crafty mamma in Seattle, WA. I like nerdy stuff like statistics, grammar,
psychology
, and I also like pretty things like paisleys, argyle, polka dots, stripes, and patterns made by the hypothetical love child of Martha Stewart and Amy Butler.
Non-specific items:
--Cognitive Behavioral Therapy craft:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=240681.0
--Something funky and Jewish (e.g. something awesome and unique to use for Shabbat, Passover, etc.)
--Surprise me with something you’re really into crafting
--Stuff inspired by my Wists:
http://wists.com/quilted
Crafted items:
--
*new*
: A bedside caddy (here’s one idea:
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/US/media/sangkantsficka_gb.pdf
)
--
*new*
: Scrabble nameplate (a la AsphaltQueen) for me and/or the DH
--
*new*
: decorated (any way you like) t-shirts in a women’s medium (preferably long enough that they don’t show off my muffin top, and also no v-necks please. I know… I’m picky, picky, picky!). Used is just fine!
--
*new*
: interesting clothes for my 2T or 3T son. Again, used is just fine!
--
*new*
: two pet tag silencers. My dogs like to lie down near the crib while Noah naps, then they shake and wake him up with their jingling. Here’s the general idea, but of course one of your own design would be amazingly better than store bought:
http://store.theloyaldog.com/qs.html
--a white or cream beret (preferably machine washable… I gots a sweaty head!)
--manly clothes for my son’s 12 inch baby doll
--jojo_modjo style pendants:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=225690.msg2515999;topicseen#new
--A ribbon organizer, maybe this one?
http://www.marthastewart.com/portal/site/mslo/menuitem.0e0eb51a2e6b5ad593598e10d373a0a0/?vgnextoid=a4ce2e912b11f010VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&autonomy_kw=ribbon%20organizer&rsc=header_1
-- a set of 4 or 6 place mats in a neutral color or navy blue
--Machine washable hand puppets
--tissue pack holder for my purse
Supplies:
-- Partially used or unused interesting embroidery transfers (i.e., no Sunbonnet Sue, etc.)
-- Those small scissors that fold in on themselves so I stop cutting my fingers when I fish through my embroidery bag
Extras:
--
1.5 inch squares of pre-washed quilting fabric for my postage stamp quilt.
Please only *one* of each fabric… thanks!
-- dark chocolate (the darker, the better)
-- origami paper
-- anything on wheels for the little guy
-- doll accessories for my son’s 12 inch baby doll (e.g. doll bottle, bib, etc.?)
-- children’s books or other cool things in Spanish
Thanks so much! Please let me know if you have any suggestions for improving my list
I won’t be offended!
