I'm a novice sewer...and I only learned what the word rickrack meant last week. But now I am rickrack happy and have a comfy hat with rickrack trim. Maybe simple to many, but to me this is progress! My stitches are becoming straighter/more even...still need help matching thread colors but that's ok. I'm sure this hat will get plenty of wear-it's very spring! Thanks for looking!



Edit: Note: I did not make the hat...just put on the rickrack. Wink

I agree, it's very springy! And don't feel bad -- I've been sewing for years (off and on) and only just last week was finally brave enough to put rick rack on anything. Not sure what I was so afraid of... So, go you! Way to tackle it early on.
