I got a speedball super value kit for christmas a few years ago from my brother and I was so afraid to use it...I thought I would ruin it....I ended up using the box as a lap table when hand painting my tshirts...lol

well a very good friend of my boyfriend passed away over the weekend we are extremely crushed....they are having a benefit concert this week so I decided to try out the screen...Chris or Kriss as we called him was the biggest fan of music especially 80's metal (I'm rocking out to Hair Nation on Sirius satellite as we speak)..one of his all time favorite bands was KISS so I thought up this logo...

I know the last S is a little small but I am sure thats going to be the last thing on anyones mind.....it's printed on black strips to use as patches or arm bands, I'm going to have them given away at the door...I also splurged and got glow in the dark ink, not only will I use every drop of it, Kriss is definitely worth every penny..

he was absolutely the sweetest funniest dude I ever met...he was one of the first people I met when I moved to philly with my boyfriend and from that second on he was like a big brother I never needed (I already have 4!.!)...noogies and all...he was a friend of my bf for 18 years and he will be sorely missed...

they are taking over my living room, I think I have done at least 50 so far..I'm going to stop blabbing now and get back to it!.!

Sorry to hear about your friend :-(  Awesome screen print though... I've got the same kit I have opened long enough to read the instructions.

I was exactly the same way...I just freehanded with the filler...it wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be... Cheesy

Looks good for a first print.  did you use the screen filler method?  it is that red stuff.  just wanted to know cuz that is the method i use.  i also learned how to silk screen using a speedball kit.

yes it's the red stuff......I might have done a better job but I was working in my living room and the lamp doesn't have a bulb so I had to rely on light from the other room =0*(

ok i thought it might be the red stuff.  just keep practicing and your technique will get much better.  one thing that i have found is that if you do two coats of the drawing fluid, blue stuff, then when you put the screen filler on it won't mess up your image as much and you will end up with a much cleaner print.  keep printing!
