Every time I turn my back these guys are fighting again...at least I hope they're fighting!

I made these two monsters, Tiny Cthulhu and Oni, for the 2008 Softies for Mirabel campaign. You can learn more about the charity here if you're interested (http://cthulhucrochet.blogspot.com/2008/04/send-your-amigurumi-to-australia.html) I'm hoping to ship them out to Australia on Friday, although it's going to be tough parting with them.

My boyfriend designed the Oni. He doesn't really enjoy crocheting (although he's learned a few stitches) so he drew his design on paper and then I turned it into an amigurumi for him. He did the eye placements and was kind enough to stuff both critters. (My least favorite part of the amigurumi making.) The Tiny Cthulhu is my design and mostly just a modification of a previous cthulhu pattern I'd made.

I'm hoping to ship them out to Australia on Friday, although it's going to be tough parting with them.

I've written out the pattern for the Tiny Cthulhu and in the spirit of charity it's free! You can view it here: http://cthulhucrochet.blogspot.com/2008/05/tiny-cthulhu-free-pattern.html

Ahh! They are sooo cute! I absolutely love them! And I love that your boyfriend helped out, too. That's so neat. My DH has pretty much zero interest in crafts, lol.

Great job!!

They're awesome enough as it is, and the fact that they're going to a good cause just makes them rock that much more.

I'm in love with the Cthulhu! <3

Me too! I spend way too much time starring at his cute little eyes. Maybe he's trying to hypnotize me.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments!

I just wanted to mention that some of the toys are going to be auctioned off on e-bay with proceeds going to Mirabel and some will be given directly to the children that are helped by Mirabel. If either of these two end up in the auction I'll update this thread to let everyone know.
