It was the boy's niece's bday recently. and since i've taken it upon myself to adopt his family and intrude on all their family activities, and because she's the cutest human baby thing i've ever seen, i thought it was fitting to make her a dress.

i had this really cute fabric that i'd bought last summer that i've been trying to find something to do with

i made it a bit big so no pics yet of her wearing it. it was some mccalls pattern. or simplicity...i think mccalls...
anyway uber easy. and i actually took the time to do blind hems since it was a gift

i got lazy with the buttons and tried to use my machine. which would've worked if i hadn't stepped on the foot pedal and snapped the button. sigh

back:

button close up (i like them; i think they match nicely. though it was a hard choice between these and hot pink ones):

I recently used that same pattern to make a dress also!! I love how yours turned out! I used a coral silky material for mine...i got lazy when it came to buttons though and (unsuccessfully) tried to used velcro instead. I'm thinking i want to redo it so i guess i'm not really finished after all  Huh

It's McCall's 4424. Don't you just love how easy it is to whip up such cute little dresses?! I made one for a gift too...here.  I made the poofy shorts view too at DH's request (first one in this post, the second is also from this pattern). I wasn't thrilled at first, but it grew on me. And DD seems to like it a lot!

I LOVE the fabric you used!
