Details of swap:  Each participant will be given the number of swappees that they request.  If you want to make 8 pair of earrings, ask for 8 partners.  Providing there are enough participants, you'll get the number you ask for.  It will then be your responsibility to mail to each of those swappees.

My original intent was only to have int'l swappers send to me, but I think it would be easier for everyone to swap more pairs if they sent them all to me.  It will also cut down on postage for everyone.

Ok, I'm confused.  (sorry)  So do ALL of us just send our earrings to you, or do just international swappers do that, and the rest of us send out a separate package to each different person depending on how many pairs we make?  I think that made sense.  Sorry...

It seems a good idea. I'd like to make a pair for every participant, so sending them from Italy all in once would be just perfect!

Are we ALL sending you the earrings or just the international swapers?  I'd be more comfortable sending out my own earrings I think...

I would too. I don't mind sending to multiple addresses.

I think I am going to leave it up to each of you.  For some, postage can get out of hand if shipping to multiple swap partners.  For others, it's not an issue.  At the moment, we have 18 participants.  So, tomorrow I will send an e-mail out to everyone with my mailing address and instructions.  If you choose to send out your earrings yourself, understand that several (including all the international ones) will be coming to me for distrubution.

So, say you are making 10 pair for this swap.  If you choose to send them out yourself, you could receive anywhere from 1-10 packages in return as I will consolidate the ones that come to me into combined shipments.  If you send all 10 pair to me, you'll get one package back with 10 pair in it.

Please note (and this will be stated in my e-mail out) the deadline on this swap is VERY FIRM.  I will be sending packages out on 3/4/05.  If you choose to mail them to me and they don't arrive by 3/2, they will be refused.

I understand that everyone has things that come up.  Whether it's finals at school, an illness, a car wreck, or death in the family, I understand that things come up.  But, I have hosted several swaps in this manner over the last couple of months and I just cannot penalize everyone else because of one person's misfortune.  I am not saying this to be crass, but as the hostess, I am the one that comes off as a flake or disorganized when someone misses the date.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  Thanks.
