Time for more swap goodness!

Gossamer_gull and I live about two towns apart, so we met today after work to exchange goodies in a local Friendly's.

A group shot (not everything, but a good general overview):

And now, in order:

From Gossamer_gull, I got the following:

Two tribbles: one for me, one for my cat!

A very cool piece of cross-stitched art with the Klingon symbol on it (and to show off geekiness, I believe this is the symbol used in the Klingon courts, as opposed to the more colorful version used on the warships):

A beautiful hand-painted (free hand!) box with the Starfleet logo:

And inside the box:

A star trek wallet full of nifty laminated items, including a Warp God Wesley (squee!) and a box of Classic Trek "protein cubes"

So much happy goodness, thank you so much, gossamer_gull!

And then here's what she got from me:

A set of Star Trek Votives:

(Star Fleet, Bajoran, Romulan, Klingon, Ferengi, Cardassian (Obsidian Order because she loves Garak)

Close-up of the Romulan votive, which took me two days to work up the nerve to attempt:

A Borg hat and fingerless glove set, with i-cord "tubes":

(She looks very assimilated, doesn't she?)

And lastly, a Bajoran Orb of the Prophets complete with Shrine (This is what I burned my hand making!):

(The best part was seeing her face when she realized what the box must be!)

Thanks for being a great partner, Gossamer_gull!

Wonderful packages!  The orb is really appeals to me, but then I like shiny things Wink

Great crafting and I hope your hand is better.  I burned my lip woodburning once and it drove me crazy for weeks. Embarrassed  Hope your hand recovers more quickly.

I love the fingerless gloves with i-cord tubes - she does look very "assimilated". Smiley  Nice job both of you!

Ow WOW! Love the orb of the prophets - always wanted one!!! (now just to make it give you visions. Maybe if you stare at the lights for long enough...) And the Borg hat and gloves are also very cool, I may need to make a set.

For the comic cell, do you notice how much more muscular everyone is in the comics? Picard has ripped abs!! I bet the shirts don't ride up in the comic - that used to drive my mom nuts, cause she could see where they cut the shirts wrong and how to fix it!

Love the expendable tshirt! Reminds me of the video for "Star Trekkin". Actually, this whole gallery is making me want to see that - I may need to do that at work today.

Great stuff everyone!

Osiris Cultist: Ohh. Fill the Jackal's head with OIL. Now it makes sense! At first I thought you said scalding hot 'voile'.
Osiris High Priest: What the hell is voile?
Osiris C.: It's a soft, sheer fabric. I warmed some up in the dryer.
Osiris HP: What kind of torture is that!?!

Yes, I got loads of great loot!

I haven't used the votives yet, but they're currently on display. (Even my husband seemed impressed; he asked, "Did she paint them herself?" Cheesy)

As for the Borg bling, I will have to find a safe place to store the hat until wintertime, when I can be fully assimilated. However, I'll be able to use the wrist warmers (which work as steampunk accessories too!) right away, as my hands often get cold.

As for the Orb...well...I'm sure I must be the envy of all! I mean, how many people can boast an Orb of the Prophet as part of their home decor? Hehe. When my husband got home last night, I told him we'd been blessed by the Prophets. And then I showed him to our Orb. He was quite amused. The Orb, nestled in its shrine, has a place of honor in our living room: right on top of the entertainment center where we keep the DSN DVDs.

Thanks, Gleep, for an awesome swap! I love everything you made me. I'm glad you're happy with your loot, too, and hope your Targ kitteh has fun with the catnip Tribble!

Oh and -- as promised -- a link to the Warp God Wesley image:

And here is another image, of Troi and Worf (captioned with Webdings "Y"s):

I only wish we'd had color printer ink, so I could use these the way I wanted to!
