hi everyone, i thought i'd share the Valentine's Day illustration/card that i made for my  boyfriend (it's called Or Else):

i wasn't sure if i should put it here or in the art section, so if i need to move it, just let me know.  it was done in adobe illustrator with a wacom tablet (yes, i drew it, it's NOT a photoshop filter)   Wink  a bigger version is on my website in case anyone is interested in seeing it not so squished.

thanks!  it was drawn in adobe illustrator with a wacom tablet (i used to do them with a mouse and the pen tool, but now i have a pencil that lets me draw directly into the program).

So, (I am curious about your methods) do you use existing photos and go over them in color blocks or do you draw them from scratch. Either way, they're nifty, but I'd like to try that!

i use the photo mostly as reference, but i block in the main shapes with them, and then do the details by eye.

Thanks for the info! My husband's a graphic designer with all the great equipment at home...  I'd like to learn how to use some of it and take advantage of all the software and hardware I have at my fingertips! Grin Grin Grin
