Okay, so Valentine's Day is in two weeks. I've been trying to think of something to do for my husband. We've been together for three years and married for six months. My husband is an artist who used to be a gothic and LOVES dvds (esp horror movies)....Now, I thought, vampire, blood, heart, love, Valentine's Day. Got the connection? Only...How to use this theme to make a great V-day gift? I've ordered the movie Valentine for him, which is a small start. I thought that maybe I could either put all of his gifts into a popcorn bucket or use a popcorn bucket somehow but I'm lost when it comes to including the "bloody V-Day" theme...Can anyone help? I know this is really rambling but does it make any sense?

Here are some ideas my friends came up with:

you could make/get some massage oils and rename them with a horror flick themes.
same for chocalate.
bake something, and decorate it with hearts with bat wings.
put together a horror flick costume for you to wear....or not.
a red beverage; label it blood?
you could bake him a red velvet cake, with dark chocolate frosting.

A silly card with a vampire on front (female one) saying inside that you want to suck his blood forever.

Lol! Mental image of a card with a girlie vamp on the front and the words "I want to suck your...." and a very rude message on the inside. Thanks for that DrewsUSAgirl!

Actually, you could make a mix of twisted love songs.  That might make a cool gift to add to things.

  Song suggestions-
masicism tango (not sure how to spell that)
You don't love me anymore (Weird Al)

For recipes, I would look up some halloween sites.  They have bloody and gorey recipes.  You could always make one of those jell-o mold realistic hearts.

There is also a vampire wine that you can find at certain liquor stores...  I'm sure it's red wine.

Now for the renaming chocolates - Chucky's Chunky Bar, Michael Meyer's M&Ms, Puppet Master's Prailine, Evil Dead Divinity....oh, I give up...these names are terrible!  Well, at least I tried...

I don't know about a mixed cd because my burner's on the blitz.   Sad

Thanks for the great ideas! I love the candy names. Lol. And they're better than I've been able to do today! My mind is just drawing a blank! I've been trying to think of how to make a popcorn bucket. If I could do that, I could paint something like "Be My Bloody Valentine" on it (he's british which makes it a double pun, in my own head at least. lol.) and stick all his goodies in it. Any one have any ideas on doing that?

Hmm. Turkish Delight = Texas Chainsaw Delight? Gosh, I'm really bad at this...

I didn't even think...How to relable them? Sticker?

I'm thinking about also making some kind of shirt that says "I *heart* Zombies..." Heart sticks with the theme but I dunno...
