Thanks! Yes, I used floss. I used 3 strands for all the black outline, fishnets, the loopy detail on the garters and bra, and the black parts of the lady face (the red lips and the hair filling were 6 strands). All the filling and outer detail was done with 6 strands. I wanted the color to "pop," so to speak.

How many hours went into this?

A LOT! I tried to keep track in the beginning but I lost it pretty quick. I'd say 20+ easy, including all the time spent drawing, but spaced out over many days. Also, that's not including the time spent on the first one that I ruined by spilling chinese food all over it. I had done all the black outlining and had the top half of the lady filled in when I spilled on it. I seriously wanted to cry.

20+ sounds like a crazy amount of time but it seemed to go by pretty quick. I just kind of worked in sections and until just now when I started thinking about the actual amount of time it took, I felt like I'd gone pretty fast.

The piece I'm working on now is from a tattoo as well, and I'm still not done but I'm up to 30 hours... I know it sucks counting out the hours but I just hash mark a print out of the tattoo I'm redoing... what a pain, but I do understand... sheesh!

I think it's awesome that you're counting and I can't wait to see pics when you're done! What's the picture of, if you don't mind me asking? I wish I'd continued counting so I could have an exact number. I just stop and go too much I think. I'll work for like 20 minutes, eat, work a little more, check Craftster. I get way too antsy to sit down and just do it for an hour straight.
