This is great, I love the concept and it's perfectly executed. What stitch did you use for filling in the big areas? It looks so neat and uniform, I would love to know how to do it.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! Brook - I used the toughest white cotton I could find at my craft store. I think it said quilter's cotton on the roll, whatever that means. It felt almost like canvas, but slightly less tough. mojouk - I used long and short stitch.
