I've seen a lot of great book covers on Craftster and had to make my own.  My DH surprised me with a book that I have wanted forever so I decided it would be the perfect guinea pig for my very first book cover.

This is the front of my book cover.  I didn't have very much of this floral print fabric but I did use it all.  I had to add the ribbon to make the little piece of fabric fit.

This is the back.

This is the inside cover.  I plan on adding a tag to it someday.

This shows the blanket stitch on the edges.  I messed up a little on it but I think it looks ok.

Here it is folded out.  I have to find more of that flower fabric!

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!

Good Job!

The patterns and ribbon trim work nicely.

But now I'm wondering... what book is it?

Thanks for the compliments.  I was a little worried about the green paisley fabric.  I made it out of my stash and this was the best combo I could find to work with the large floral print.  I went fabric shopping yesterday.  Hooray for 50% off fabric sales and 75% off remnants!

It's a book of songs.

I love them.  We are all readers  here so, I was planning to make book covers for stocking stuffers this Christmas.  Is there a tut for this?  I'm sure I could figure it out, but a tut makes it so much easier.

Duh.  I just scrolled down and at the bottom of the topics page is a tut for a book cover.  I'll use that one. I don't want the closure flap, so  I would still love to see your tut.  I'm off work on Monday, so I hope I can crank a bunch of them out.  I have way to much fabric sitting here.
