Loosely based on this lovely tutorial: http://curiouslycrafty.wordpress.com/tutorials/

I used regular cardboard from useless boxes, printing paper, black satin, lacy black fabric, white ribbon, white lace and scrapbook paper.

I think it turned out pretty okay. But somehow I screwed up the actual binding and the stack of paper got all crooked. The lace on the cover also ended up a little crooked Tongue The cover has two layers of fabric, satin and some lacey stuff. I was planning on just using satin, but it looked so weird and empty (and not black enough xD) so I sewed some cool lacey spiderweb fabric on top of it.

The front:

The bottom (here you can see how crooked the paper is):

The back (don't mind the weird stitching Tongue):

Close-up of the fabric (spiderweb!):

The endpaper:

The little label says "Property of Maraluce Murder. If anyone other than Maraluce looks in this without her permission, she'll personally stab your eyes out." Yup.

What do you think? Smiley

I love your journal. Smiley I love the idea of a bow on the cover.
I'm about to use that tutorial to try one of my own. Hopefully, mine will come out as cute as yours.. Smiley
