I am kind of new to posting & it is so much fun!  I made these two dresses last year for my daughters using New Look 6578 for the little one & another similar New Look pattern for my older daughter (I can't find it right now to post the #).  I just love them.  I used &1/yd material from Wal-Mart but they turned out adorable.  The applique pattern is included with 6578.  It is a great pattern for anyone with little girls, you can do so much with it.  I even make it a a shirt to wear over a turtleneck in the winter with leggings.  I hope you enjoy it & thanks for looking!

I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference.

Your daughters are adorable and their dresses are darling!  I also love matching mine, but not identically!  You did a terrific job!  I'd love to see a close-up of the appliques...I'm intimidated by the thought of them.  Silly, I know, but....

Beautiful daughters! The dresses are so sweet. Its nice to see what they look like with the applique. I have this same pattern (toddler size) but I never used the applique, I also line mine. So far this is the most used pattern I have to date. You can see some of the ones I made here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=238763.0 GREAT JOB!!!

Those are adorable!  I've used that pattern, too, but never done the applique.  I really should because yours look so cute!

I'll try to post closeups this weekend.  They really make the dress.
