It seems that the Dollar Tree and I have bonded over cork tiles.  They come in 6" x 6" squares in packs of four.  You also get these nice little adhesive thingies to stick them to your wall.  Having a sad, empty wall in my supposed-to-be-dining-room craft room, I figured I'd cut circles out of cork, spray paint them pink, and hang them on the wall.  I actually really love the result.  Pictures!

Sad, bare wall.

The cork is up.

With all my silly little cards & whatnot.

Up close.

Super cute. I think you should keep going with it, at least 12 circles wide and 6 high, to fill up the white space.

Hmmm... I haven't seen the cork at MY Dollar Tree...

I am currently in the process of buying my first house and I am hoping to have a crafty room.  I'm going to have to keep this in mind!  Thanks for sharing.  Smiley

Is that a signed card from the President?!

Very cute! I now need to head to my Dollar Tree, which is conveniently located next to my crack dealer...I mean, Hobby Lobby Smiley

thank you, everyone Smiley  I want to expand it a little, but I ran out of cork tiles.  I need to go back when I get some off time.

And the card is a joke card.  It says "Just wanted to wish you a fabulous birthday" -george & laura.  My boyfriend got it for me Wink

i really hope my local store has this cork.
i'd like to do something similar in my bedroom, but with blue.
I'll post a pic if I ever get it done

I was thinking of doing something similar but keeping them square but covering them with fabric.
