I'd been looking for a chair to use with my spinning wheel when I came across one with potential at a thrift store for a whopping $4.99.  After cleaning, filling, sanding, priming, painting and reupholstering I have this!

And the Before?

I think someone had spilled milk all done the back, ick - but it cleaned up great!  I did learn the hard way though that even if the paint says primer isn't necessary ignore it and save yourself the hassle by just priming it to begin with, heh.
A bit more on the blog.

You have great vision!  I really like the way the chrome feet pop off the white.  I agree that primer is such a worthwhile step and usually not "extra" because it saves so much hassle later.

Fantastic job - I love it when people reconstruct furniture and give it a new lease of life.
