i found a battered old chest of drawers on the street outside my flat, so we adopted it and gave it a makeover. i sanded to remove the old varnish, painted it white and stuck Paperchase paper on the drawers, sides and top. i'm really happy with it! there is more detail on the project in my own blog http://www.whatkatiedoes.net and more photos on my flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/ohmystars

What a great job you did! Did you do something to the handles? You were lucky theu were so nice because they look fab on your finished drawers.

Oddly, I'm sure I recognise that from a previous life. I swear I've seen that exact chest somewhere. Possibly at school.

Anyway - it looks utterly beautiuful now! You should be very proud.
