Yoshi Mosaic

This is the first mosaic I've done, and it's a lot harder than it looks! :O 
My friend and I worked on it for a decoration for our lab at grad school.  We do research in video games, hence the utter geekery. 

First, the non-grouted, "taken with a cell phone" picture.


We had Yoshi sitting like that for a few weeks before we finally had time today to try grouting.  We made WAY too much grout.  Oops. Also, the grout has kind of found it's way into little pockets in the glass tiles.  I'm not sure what to do about that.  However, we're really happy with the way it looks anyway!

Now we just need to figure out what to do to finish it off.  Frame?  Table?  No idea!

That is incredibly adorable!  I vote for making it a table so long as it's kept clear of detritus.  Don't hide Yoshi!

Looks excellent! I've tried my hand at paper mosaic and man, you're not kidding. It IS way harder than it looks. Kudos to you, you did a great job! It's super cute!

I've only tried tiny mosaics before and those were pretty trying. I can't imagine how much work this was. He looks amazing though!
