you know how it is you find some yarn you love, your knitting needles are itching to get started and then you can't find the right pattern! ...I've been searching nearly all day for a fitted pattern

I'd like to knit either a cardigan or jumper similar to this:

I had imagined I'd prefer the ribbing to go a bit higher or at least have a bit more shapping around the waist, if anyone knows where there are patterns similar to these or a bit different but still quite fitted I'd really love to know about them  Grin -thanks  Cheesy

Are you a member of Ravelry? If not, you should be! They have a cool pattern finder (you can even search based on the yarn you want to use) and there's thousands of patterns in there! (Some free, some not.)

Since it seems like you have a really good idea of what you want to end up with - why not try designing it yourself? Knitting From the Top (Barbara Walker), Knitting in the old way (Priscilla Gibson Roberts), Ann Budd's book of sweater design (I don't remember the exact title), Sweater Design in Plain English (Maggie Righetti) or almost any other design-your-sweater book, plus a good stitch dictionary, and go for it!

Just don't pick a book that's all/mostly raglan yoke style, because none of the sweater pictures you have look like raglans.
