I lived in Jacksonville, NC for 2 years... well off and on 2 years (would move back home, FL, while DH was gone (in USMC)) and we drove through Wilmington all the time come to and from home on visits back down here and we visited there once to see the aquarium and I swear we someone how missed all the pretty parts!!!!  No offense, I always heard that it was a pretty city, but the part we had to drive though we would lock our doors and roll up the windows as we went through, lol.  Of course every city has that kind of part if it's big enough  Tongue  Now I want to go back up there and visit your part!!!   Grin  You could be the pamphlet person or something, draw folks in with your fabulous pictures!!!

I took photos downtown, on the river front.  I took photos at Ft. Fisher, which you drove by to get to the aquarium.  And I took photos at Airlie gardens.  Oh, and I can't forget the beach!  I took photos at Wrightsville Beach.

There are a couple of bad neighborhoods here, of course.  But overall, it's an awesome town. If you came across the bridge from Leland, you would have driven through some of the bad neighborhoods.  Some parts of downtown are beautiful and some- well, you just don't spend any time there if you don't have to!  LOL

I live in Wilmington! I saw that first pic, and just froze for a sec! I work at the Star-News and live on 7th between Walnut (not bad) and Red Cross (one of those areas you may not want to spend much time!) lol

::waves::  Hello!!  I know where you work!  I live in Ogden. I don't go down there very often, it's a drive for me and I have very little reason to be in that part of town.

Very cool to see someone else from my town on here.  Cheesy

yes, we did take a big old bridge, so I'm sure you're thinking of the right area.  I always did want to take an actual trip and just check out the town.  We were only an hour away.  Somehow we just never did  Tongue  Anyway, you def have an eye for photography  Wink  kudos

I got some beautiful photos from peihan17.  This is just a very small selection of some of my favourites Cheesy

It has been a drought here so ther hasn't been much green so i asked for green and nature shots, with a few others.

From Yosemite National Park

Simply stunning!!!

Definitely fits under the "green stuff" category Smiley

From San Francisco

I love these guys!

I'm just trying to figure out how the fire engine gets to this hydrant.

From Virginia

More green!!! Cheesy

The engineer in me loves the perspectives here.  I also love the colour brown.  Very visually pleasing.
