So I found a cheap basket the perfect size I wanted.
And I found some fantastic penguin fabric.
And I found a pattern to make a basket liner.
And days and hours of frustration later I ended up with a penguin basket liner that bunches in the corners and won't lay flat. And I think my sewing machine hates me for the torture I put it through trying to make this.
But it's done. And it functions. And I still really like the fabric.
So please peruse the photos and pity my penguin basket liner.

The fabric ROCKS.  I was just trying to think of something to do with my basket, and if I put a liner in it, I could do a lot more with it Smiley  Great job!

That isn't bad! And I agree- the penguins are awesome! Maybe if you went looked at another basket liner (like from World Market) and studied its construction it would be a better visual than an internets pattern?

Thanks for all the comments everyone! Yeah, I hate to say it but the pattern just wasn't a very good one-next time I make a basket liner I'm definitely going to find one in a more reliable source with better directions and photos/illustrations!
