Coming out of mostly-lurkdom to post this.  I'm entirely to proud to keep it to myself.   Grin

Our apartment has these huge windows that let in tons of light, but also let everyone out in the parking lot see what we're up to.  They open like a door, so curtains or blinds would be a real pain if we actually wanted to catch a breeze.  What to do, what to do....

All hail Gallery Glass paints by Plaid.  Without them, this fabulous window would not be possible.

Let us also take a moment to be thankful for husbands who let you do whatever the hell you want to the apartment, and maintenance men who speak no English, so can't ask you what the hell you think you're doing when they catch you painting the glass.  Roll Eyes

I love it. The whole story (including some ranting - I'm never going to be 100% happy with anything I do.) is on my blog.

So - what do you think?

*** Update on Page 3, complete w/ time it took, approx. expense, and my "process". (That cracks me up - sounds soooo serious for what amounted to doodling and coloring on a window.  Cheesy)***

That is absolutely beautiful! I have a picky landlord who won't let me do stuff like this .. even when I assure him it can be removed without damage ... I just had to hit "this rocks"!

It's absolutely phenomenal!! Wow.
I collect turtles/tortoises and I love the sea, so I think your windows are amazing.

It's such a great form of art because everyone outside can enjoy it too  Cheesy

Way too cool!  I've been wanting to do something similar to a bathroom window, but was too chicken.  I think you just gave me the courage, thanks!!!

My craft supply philosophy I stole from a line from AVP. ''I'd rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.'' But, they were talking about a condom. Tongue
