I am comfortable with this.  I have organized swaps and let a couple of people do this, and they were reliable.

Hello All,
I know that I am one of the members that Veludo was referring to.  I'd been a lurker for about a month before I decided that "hey, I'm gonna try to make cool things like all these Craftster people".  My one-month "anniversary" is in two days.  You don't need to worry about me although you may want to keep an eye out for my dog (check out my avatar).  I have to keep all my crafting stuff well-hidden and out of reach because he has decided that crafts = snacks.

I think letting the newbies in on it will be fine.  I'm sure since this will be their first swap they will be sure not to make a bad impression and hurt their chance of swaps in the future.
