I've never made anything for babies before, but my cousin is going to have a little boy so I decided to make a hat and some booties for the little guy.  I've made the hat, but I can't seem to find a good pattern for booties to go with it.

Here's the hat: (from a Debbie Bliss pattern)

I really want to use the same yarn for the booties, too.  It's an unbleached, undyed organic cotton in a sage green color (so cool that natural cotton comes in different colors!) and the hat has a gauge of 20 st per 4 inch on US size 5.

If you know of a gender neutral or more masculine pattern that could work with this yarn I would be super excited!  Even something that I could modify would be awesome. Smiley

Thanks!

Loads of bootie patterns about but I notice many of them don't specify a guage, just yarn wieght and needle size.
However found a few

or baby socks perhaps?

lots here, You just have to look through them all to find something you think suitable.

I love this baby bootee pattern, because it's knit in the round (no seams!) and quite simple in style:
