I made a whole bunch of these great little earring sets when I was hanging out at home the other night.  I had my husband snap some photos as I was putting them together so I could throw together a little tutorial as well.  I'll give you guys the abridged version.

Here's the earrings, one of my favorite designs.

For a pair of earrings, you'll need the following supplies:

2 pairs of pliers, i have flat nose and needle nose here
10 small jump rings, I used 4mm here
18 large jump rings, I used 6mm here
Seed beads large enough to fit on the large jump rings
2 wire ear hooks

Link together 5 small jump rings for each earring.  Attach these chains to an ear hook.  Add beads to opened larger jump rings.

Attach one beaded jump ring to the bottom link of the chain by twisting closed tightly and cleanly.  Add two beaded rings to each remaining bead going up, on either side of link as shown in photo.

Make lots of pairs.  Wear them with everything!

Let me see your rhumba earrings everyone!  Bonus points for action shots!

For anyone who needs more detailed instructions, I have a more in-depth tutorial on my blog at http://www.theartofmegan.com/rhumba_earrings_tutorial.  I can't wait to be getting more jewelry making tutorials up there soon!

Awesome!  I was looking for an idea for my cousin's birthday present.  This is a great one!  Thanks so much!  I might make her a complete summer set using your earrings as a center piece! Grin

Those are beautiful, I think I'm going to make a set to go with the chainmail set I'm making for my niece.

These are really simple and elegant, you could use them for everyday or a "dress-up" occasion.  I really like the idea of multi-functional jewelry.

Great tutorial.  I had a girls night a few weeks ago and we made these earrings.  It was a great for beginners and fun for the more advanced skill set!  Everyone enjoyed their new earrings (of course I didn't take any pictures, but they did turn out fabulous.)

Thanks for the easy to follow tut!

These are super cuteee!!!  I am going to make a run to the store and try my hand at these. Has anyone ever ran into problems or questions related to making earrings?  What is your number #1 question when it comes to making earrings?

I am putting the finishing touches on a new idea about handcrafted earrings. I don't want to leave anything out!

I made your Rhumba earrings last night to match a quick memory wire bracelet I made to go with a new shirt. The seedbeads came in a nice colorway so I just used a selection of the colors from the bracelet in the earrings instead of one color. They are super cute and swingy, love em!

This is so great! I love that particular style of dangly circles, but never thought about adding beads. This is on my TO DO list.

You rock!

I am going to be in close proximety to a Hobby Lobby tonight...I will have to invest in some jump rings! I have an obsession with big earrings. Love the tutorial! Thank you for sharing. Grin

Here's how mine turned out! I like my earrings big so I used more rings and big rings through out. I think I will use the smaller ones for my next try.  Grin
