Hi everyone,

After a small hiccup (I stuffed up cutting my pattern out and thought there was a problem with Sues' pattern, but it was just me having brain fade!) I've just made 4 identical shopping bags, using Sues great semi tutorial which is found on page 2 of this link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=228521.10

Let me know what you think, they are for a belated birthday present for a 70+ year old male.....won't he look grand going shopping now?

The outer material is like an imitation cord and the inner is a great lining fabric with like a sheen to it...I'm loving the way they came out.....gonna make myself some in the next few weeks, as well as some market bags when the tute is up and running for them.

Hugs and hope to hear a few comments soon.

It looks really well made. Besides the hiccup was it difficult at all?

NOOOO WAY....if I hadn't have been having a blonde moment when I cut the pattern out, then they wouldn't have taken long to make....so long as you can make a Jordy hun, you can make these....and won't it be great to go shopping and know you're not only helping the environment, but that your shopping bags are unique.

Hugs

lol! I've been having quite a few blonde moments lately while sewing. I'm going to add this to my to-do list.

Hi everyone and especially the wonderful Scrappy Sue!

I've now made another 10 of these....for personal use now....all in different prints, will take pics once I've recharged my camera batteries.

Thanks for the great idea Sue.  Oh and can't wait to see how many people try out the topstitch on the Sanibels' now! (Hi to Jimmy!)

Hugs
