wow, as a spinner and knitter i give you mad props on that one. i havent got the patience to spin the same color of that much yarn, or to knit a clapotis...so...you rock on all counts.

How many ounces/grams of fibre did that take?  You have now become my hero!  I've been hemming and hawing about spinning fibre for a clap, but I just haven't been inspired.  UNTIL NOW! So gorgeous!

Thanks, guys!  It was about 1/2 a pound, but I actually have another half pound of the same fibre just in case.  If I don't need it, I'll probably knit a second clap for my mom.  Smiley

Yes, folks, I spun this up out of 100% Merino wool and then knit it into a Clapotis.  I'm rather happy with it, although the knitting part was SO boring.  Also, the brooch is a vintage piece out of my grandmother's collection.  More info on my blog!
